Customer Service:

Foreignautosupply

Overview and History:

I got this e-mail out of the blue, and it was like what is this bizarre-o deal about, especially the F-bomb and A-bomb.

Several years ago I bought a head for the burnt # 3 in the Wasserboxer that was in the van at the time. I contacted Jon; at http://www.foreignautosupply.com  he seemed really cool, very knowledgeable and friendly. The used head was a good deal at 150 bucks, it was fairly new and it would get me by until I got going on a conversion. I mailed him the funds and I got the head.

Couple weeks later, after receiving the head, I got a job offer I couldn’t refuse and packed my bags. I work construction it comes with the job, and liking to eat. Thing is my cell# didn’t change until this last spring, and my home # stays the same I have an internet (Vonage) phone. So I was accessible.

So four years later….for you’re reading enjoyment, my fellow readers.

(If you read the e-mail from top to bottom it's easier to read)

I'm almost completely flabbergasted that you act like the situation
was a different way. Not only did I never receive payment, I
repeatedly called the shop who did the install and they said you were
gone, out of state... tried your phone and e-mail address... both
disconnected. Just by luck recently my office guy came across one of
your postings on a diesel inquiry site on line... being in the office
Paul noticed the name as one in our delinquent open file, and showed
me. That is the one thing that is tiring with this business and the
industry as a whole, crap like this.

 Hey Jon,

I did pay you and if you feel that I wronged you; I would pay you
again for the head...that's not cool.

I even remember it being around 159 dollars for the used head and
the good help and advice you gave me, I even remember you shipped
the head to Huntsvile for me.

Speaking of advice I went with the Theautobahnsociety on my later
conversion per your advice. Our discussion about plastic tensioners
sold me on the ABA setup.

And on the small community, yes it is and I have sent people to you
and also your website after all the help you have given me and will
 continue to do so.

Jon,why am I just now hearing from you if there was a problem...I
 pay my bills.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

 Mark

You Fucking asshole! You stiffed me on a waterboxer head a few years
ago and never paid me... you best hope I never run into you. the van
 community is a small one

Introspective thoughts:

I don’t know but it all still seems weird to me, maybe for others it isn’t. But if you compare as a baseline my Ebay rating it’s 100%, with most comments stating how quick I pay.   Click here to see.

Seems to me, the email should have started.

“Hey Mark glad I got a hold of you, you know I never received the money for that head that I sold you” or something along those lines. Then maybe things are done different down here in the South, especially on a professional level.

But anyway thought this would be good for someone who is thinking about dealing with ForeignAutoSupply. After posting this it still seems a little shocking and even a little bit more weird. This page is posted NOT to slam anyone, I’m not like that. Hate the thought that my mechanic could go postal. Life is too short.
